Together New Orleans brings people together to act on what matters.

Together New Orleans is a broad-based organization of religious congregations, unions, neighborhood associations and other community institutions from across the greater New Orleans area with a common mission of addressing issues facing our families.

We bring people together across race, faith, neighborhood, income, and political affiliation to build relationships, develop leaders, and act together on the issues shaping daily life in our city.

We are not a single-issue campaign. We are a network of institutions.

Together New Orleans is built through the institutions where people already gather, lead, worship, work, learn, and serve. Our members include congregations, unions, civic groups, neighborhood associations, and community organizations that have deep roots in the life of New Orleans.

Because our power comes from organized institutions, we can move from one issue to the next while continuing to build long-term public leadership.

Broad-based

We bring together people and institutions across lines that often divide — race, religion, geography, income, and political identity.

Member-led

Our agenda comes from the concerns raised by member institutions and the leaders who live with these issues every day.

Action-oriented

We do not just talk about problems. We research solutions, train leaders, negotiate with decision-makers, and act publicly.

If your institution cares about the future of New Orleans, there is a place for you in this work.

Together New Orleans is made up of people who may not agree on everything, but who are committed to acting together on shared concerns. We organize through relationships, trust, discipline, and the belief that ordinary people should have a meaningful voice in public decisions.

Congregations

Faith communities organizing around the issues affecting their members and neighborhoods.

Unions

Workers building power around jobs, public investment, and economic opportunity.

Neighborhoods

Residents organizing around the systems, services, and decisions that shape daily life

Civic Institutitons

Community organizations, nonprofits, and local groups working for a stronger New Orleans.

Meet the Team

What we believe: New Orleans changes when organized people act together.

People closest to the problem belong closest to the solution

The people living with broken systems often understand them best. TNO helps residents turn lived experience into leadership, strategy, and public action.

Institutions are stronger together

No single organization can solve the city’s biggest problems alone. Together, our institutions create the scale needed to be heard and taken seriously.

Wins require organized leadership

Change does not happen because people care. It happens when people are trained, organized, and ready to act together with discipline, strategy, and purpose.
